Love baseball? Head to Omaha

Every Summer while all of the Major League Baseball teams are moving through their ‘dog days of Summer’, there’s an event happening in the heartland of America that every baseball purist should check out. The College World Series.

The College World Series is played each Summer at cozy Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska. It features the top 8 teams that advance from College Baseball’s Super Regionals. The games are all played in a double elimination format, and conclude with a best of 3 Championship series. The winner of that is crowned College Baseball’s National Champion.

But if your teams not there, why go see it? Well there are a myriad of reasons, but I’ll give you just two:
1. It’s baseball in it’s purist form (aside from the metal bats). The kids playing are student athletes who choose to play in college, rather than partake in MLB’s minor league circuit. They play for their school pride, and because of that they play with a lot of passion. And all that doesn’t mean these are just a bunch of stiffs. Some of the best baseball players in Major League Baseball once played in Rosenblatt. Names like Alex Rodriguez, Mark McGwire and Roger Clemens were all star players in Omaha before they took their talents to the next level.

2. It’s a really good time. The atmosphere around the stadium is a cross between a sporting event and a football tailgate. Each day different teams are playing inside Rosenblatt, while a whole different group of fans are outside cooking BBQ, tailgating and having a great time. There’s no other baseball atmosphere that matches the experience of the CWS. That includes the World Series, Opening Day and the MLB All Star Game. It’s just a fun place to stay a week and enjoy some baseball. And the best thing is the people in Omaha are so nice.

So if you love baseball. Or, even if you just like it. Get out to Rosenblatt Stadium and see the College World Series. And you can purchase some of the best College World Series tickets at TicketCity.com
