The Super Bowl of Nascar

Within two week we go from the Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona to the “Super Bowl of Nascar” in Daytona, Florida. Sunday, February 17th is the date for the 2008 Daytona 500 Nascar race. The 2008 Daytona 500 will be special because it is the 50th running of this famous race at Daytona International Speedway.

The 50th Daytona 500 is sold out from the Daytona International Speedway box office. But if you still need Daytona 500 tickets you can buy online at TicketCity or call 1.800.SOLD.OUT (800.765.3688) to get great seats to the race.

Race week at Daytona starts the week before with Qualifying for the Daytona 500. As well as the Rolex 24 race on Saturday. Then Thursday, February 14th is the Gatorade Duels 150 Mile Qualifying race, which is a 60 lap race. Friday they run 100 laps on Daytona Speedway for the Chevy Silverado 250 race. Saturday, February 16th is the Camping World 300 race, which is 120 laps around the oval. Then finally on Sunday, February 17th the granddaddy of all stock car races kicks off at 3:30pm with the 50th running of the Daytona 500.

Who will win the “Super Bowl of Nascar”? Will Dale Jr. take home his first big victory racing under the Hendrick’s flag? Remember, Junior is driving for a new team, in a new car, in 2008. Earnhardt Jr. is now #88. Will Jeff Gordon get off to a hot start in 2008? Is this the race where Juan Pablo Montoya breaks through on the biggest stage? All these questions will be answered soon at the biggest auto racing spectacle in the country.

So if you are looking for that perfect Valentine’s Gift for a big NASCAR fan, then buy Daytona 500 tickets and enjoy a great weekend at the racetrack in Florida.
