Grammy Performances

With all of the excellent performances scheduled for last night’s Grammy Awards, it was sure memorable and entertaining.  This years Grammy performances mixed country and pop, classics with alternative, and up-and-comers with legends.  That in itself is enough to make you never forget the night!!   There were so many performances that I would have loved to have been there to see, starting with U2, opening the show by performing “Get on Your Boots.”  The next performance by Justin Timberlake and Al Green singing “Let’s Stay Together” would have been the highlight of my career if I were Timberlake.  But even more of an honor for me would have been to be Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters, when he had the honor of banging on the drums behind Sir Paul McCartney singing “I Saw Her Standing There.” There were several more performances from this era when Robert Plant and Alison Krauss sing “Gone, Gone, Gone” after performing “Rich Woman.”  Sugarland performed to a hushed crowd during “Stay,” which in my opinion was one of the most moving performances of the evening.  There were also several other performers that night,  including Katy Perry, the Jonas Brothers,Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson, Estelle, M.I.A., Kanye, Lil Wayne, Robin Thicke, Jay Z, T.I., Smokey Robinson, Niel Diamond, Adele, John Mayer, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Keith Urban, “Duke” Fakir, Ne-Yo, Jamie Foxx, Kenny Chesney, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Kid Rock with Billy Powell, Carrie Underwood, Boyz II Men, Teddy Pendergrass, Coldplay and last but definitely not least, Radiohead.

All together these amazing entertainers gave their audience over 3 1/2 hours of soul, love and unforgettable memories, and next year when it rolls around, I hope that I have the ability to go and be a part of it myself!!
