Bruno of Mars Returns to the Moonshine Jungle

Technically, Bruno Mars announced the second North American leg of the Moonshine Jungle Tour back in the middle of January. At the time there wasn’t much of a splash, but a couple of weeks (and a Super Bowl half-time show) later, and there’s quite a bit more buzz. This is not to say the first leg of the Moonshine Jungle Tour was a failure, though. It ranked 23 on the top tours of 2013, and sold out almost every show. Now it appears Bruno will have a pretty solid chance to place higher on the 2014 list.

The second leg brings Bruno to over 40 dates in the US and Canada. He’ll be joined by Aloe Blacc for most of them. Pharrell Williams will perform at select dates. No word on whether they were able to book his hat from Grammys. Bruno heads home to start things off, with shows at the Blasidell Arena in Honolulu. The tour is currently scheduled to wrap up in August at Englewood’s Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre.

Here’s “When I Was Your Man”, the last #1 hit from the Moonshine Jungle album. Bruno has a thing for ‘retro’, which pops up in the video for “Treasure” as well. I’m not against retro, I just wish the stuff he sees as retro didn’t date from my childhood…
