John Mayer is on Tour!

Wow! I knew working at TicketCity was going to be awesome but it is even better than expected- I just landed some great seats to the John Mayer concert in Austin on March 8th thanks to our wonderful VP of Purchasing, Lou Chaump. (Yes, we are hiring!)

I saw John Mayer in Dallas during his last tour and I promise you it was one of the best live shows I have ever been to.  His light show is fantastic, the crowd is outrageous, and his band is unbelievable.  I remember one of my favorite parts of the show was when John and his guitarist stood back to back and played at the same time on the same guitar! It was very impressive.

If you have not seen John Mayer live, I highly recommend doing so…QUICK! He is on a national tour now through April 10th, 2010 so don’t miss out on a truly amazing show!

There are 12 days left until the show so here are 12 fun facts about John Mayer:

You ready for some footballllllllll?

Sunday football this weekend will not disappoint! Four of the best teams in the nation will battle for their chance to go to the Super Bowl in Miami, Florida at the Sun Life Stadium.  The Jets/Colts will go at it for the AFC Championship Title beginning at 2 CST on CBS  and the Vikings/Saints will battle for the NFC Championship Title on FOX at 5:40 CST.

Whether you are rooting for New Orleans, Minnesota, Indianapolis, or New York, Florida’s temperature in the mid to high 70s is enticing enough on its own to go the 2010 Super Bowl!

National Championship 2010: Texas Vs. Alabama

2010 started off with a bang as two of the nation’s best college football teams competed in the National Championship in Pasadena, California on January 7th, 2010.  The colors orange and red could not be escaped as Texas Longhorn and Alabama Crimson Tide fans poured into Pasadena and surrounding cities days before the championship took place.  The Rose Bowl was the perfect location, just look at the sunset before the game started!

For those of you who had the opportunity to watch the game on TV, I hope you had your popcorn ready! If you were at the game like I was, did any of you leave with the same length of nails you came with? It was a nerve racking experience but one I will always remember.  Colt’s injury in the first quarter was disappointing but Gilbert kept Texas fans spirits high given the circumstances.  Alabama fans had some awesome spirit too and were super LOUD in the stadium!

It was a great season for Texas and Alabama and both teams deserved to be fighting for the title.  Alabama came out on top but Texas always has next year!
