2008 College World Series field is set

One of the coolest and most underrated events in sports is about to begin; the first pitch of the 2008 College World Series will go at 1PM on Saturday, June 14th.  The College World Series is an 8-team, two bracket, double elimination tournament that culminates with a 3-game series to determine the college baseball NCAA Champion.  The tournament is played over two weeks at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska.

The College World Series does not get nearly as much exposure as the NCAA Final Four or the BCS National Championship Game, but anyone who has attended will tell you that the experience at the CWS is at least equal to those other college championship events.  One of the reasons the CWS is so special is the unique atmosphere where the games are played.  During the two weeks of the College World Series the entire city of Omaha opens its arms to fans attending and shows all of them a special time.  Many of those fans are not even alumnus of the schools playing in the CWS; a lot of the people in attendance are either big sports fans or baseball fans who just want to experience this magical event.  If you never attended the College World Series, then buy CWS tickets and experience this great event for yourself.

The field for the 2008 College World Series is set, the 8 teams playing in Omaha are:
Bracket 1
Florida State Seminoles
Georgia Bulldogs
Miami Hurricanes
Stanford Cardinal
Bracket 2
