I believe I know where Mr. Buffett is gonna go when the volcano blow: top of the TicketCity Week in Search Countdown! This (horrible) joke brought to you by the fact that I’m old enough to have grown up with the song “Volcano” as a staple of top 40 radio. It is also part of “The Big 8″ you’re likely to hear at any Buffet concert, including the one tonight at the Austin 360 Amphitheater. Thanks to the wind, you still have a chance to see this leg of the Songs From Somewhere Tour after it was rescheduled from last night.

Lots of movement across the countdown, though as usual the boys in 1D aren’t doing a lot of it. After a slight falter, they’re back at #2, followed by Miss Swift, who lands at #3.

The Oaks gains a spot. Last chance to get your Derby on this weekend. The most exciting 2 minutes in sports just makes it to the countdown at #10. Ladies, if you’ve been thinking: “I’ve got this really big hat and no place to wear it,” then you can’t miss the Derby.

George Strait rounds out the top 5. As expected, the June 1st show at the Alamodome is heating up. George will likely have a good run the next few weeks. He’s followed by Darren Criss, who is… um… one sec… from Glee! Yes, Wikipedia tells me that he is from Glee, and that I am… um… old, yes, old.

Both Beyoncé and Paul McCartney return this week. Each of their tours will get underway this month, so perhaps Beyoncé will one again become the powerhouse she was months ago.

Apparently the half-life of the average Fall Out Boy is pretty short. The radioactive frenzy for Fall Out Boy tickets departed faster than a gamma ray through Marie Curie. Beyoncé comfortably endures in her fallout sheltered top spot. The boys from Britain swing back into second place after a rocky couple of weeks, and Taylor Swift moves back into third after a more graceful one point drop.

The San Antonio Rodeo continues to hold onto the top 5, cheating a bit by actually “happening right now.” You’ve got until the weekend to check out the shows. Darius Rucker closes out the entertainment portion of the show on the 23rd. The rodeo finals are on the 24th.

Bieber enjoys a bit of a rebound as well, though smaller and just enough to lead off the bottom five this week. He’s joined by Rihanna, whose Diamonds Tour will open in March. The opening act in the US will be A$AP Rocky, with David Guetta a possible opener for the European leg of the tour. That won’t start up until June, so Rihanna fans state-side will have ample to catch her between now and then.

Bruno Mars clings to the #8 spot after sliding a couple notches, and, with Wrestlemania fast approaching, the WWE returns to the countdown at #9. Considering they’ve already started hyping next year’s Wrestlemania, this one will probably be a great deal. As for next year’s show at the Superdome, I’m sure they’ll exercise the sort of tasteful restraint they’re known for when promoting a show using the Roman numerals for 30.

Taking a short break from sports this week. It’s not that March Madness didn’t kick off, it’s just those (now) 2nd and 3rd round games never really get enough traction to crack the top 10. So many games, so many ways to search. Not unexpectedly, the Austin Rodeo leaps to the top. Only about to the half way mark, there’s ample time to catch the acts lined up for next week. The Rodeo ended the esteemed Mr. Bieber’s streak at the top, and did nothing to Lady Gaga, who remains at #3.

Lil Wayne bounces back from the bottom five to nab the #4 spot, while The Artist Formerly Known as the Artist Formerly Known as Prince appears out of nowhere to grab the #5 spot, and grant me the opportunity to use that now highly cliche joke. He’s not really a fan of “the Internet” anymore. Not sure why, it’s a monumental human achievement that’s used primarily to exchange feline photography captioned in 36 point, black stroke, white Impact font.

The WWE leads off the lower 5, where Kenny Chesney returns to the mix. Also returning after a rather long absence from the countdown is Jimmy Buffett. Buffett was injured during an encore in a show back in January, but has since recovered and is back on the road this April with the Welcome to Fin Land Tour. Taylor Swift and Bon Jovi round things out this week.
