There are few greater gifts that the NCAA tournament gives us that the thrill of a buzzer-beating shot. The first day brought us those in spades with a full quarter of the games won on a last-second bucket. Hopefully the second day is filled with the same excitement, but if not, at least we’ll have these to live in posterity (or until YouTube pulls them down!). Let us know your favorite!
Juan Fernandez of 7th seeded Temple hits an off-balanced shot to beat #10 Penn State.
Why yes, he does have enough jump: #4 Kentucky’s Brandon Knight staves off the super-upset by #13 Princeton.
Demonte Harper of the #13 Morehead State puts the dagger in from outside to knock off one of the Big East’s best in #4 Louisville, which might have been the upset of the day.
Matt Howard of #8 Butler follows up a miss to put them over #9 Old Dominion. Is slipper back on the Cinderella team from last year?
