The Final Four tops the list as the championship is almost on top of us. With a single thing to search for, it makes it a lot easier for the title match-ups to make a dent on the list. In this case, the dent is pretty big. As the final match is on Monday, it may yet make the top ten next week as well.

Pink continues to climb the charts, and, outside of a popular national collegiate basketball championship, would have made it to the top this week. 1D remains in the top 3, ever the unflappable Englishmen. The official 2013 World Tour will be making the rounds in Europe this spring, and will hit the US in June.

Maroon 5′s dance card remains packed. The band’s current tour may be winding down, but they’ll be on the road again after a short break, headlining the Honda Civic Tour next fall.

To remind us that it is now, very officially, baseball season, the Rangers debut at #5 this week.

Taylor Swift’s recapture of the top spot was short lived, and she falls back to #6. The bottom five is where a similar fate awaited Justin Bieber, who dropped four spots to #8. A few returning favorites slip in there as well, with Kenny Chesney and Bon Jovi appearing after long absences.

Finally, another British band who aren’t exactly boys makes their countdown debut in the tenth spot. Mumford & Sons is a folk rock quartet out of London who exploded (in a folky fashion) into the US with the hit "Little Lion Man." Their Gentlemen of the Road Tour is playing two shows in a number of locations around the US, including the new Austin360 Amphitheater.

Taylor Swift returns to the top spot this week, where she dominated a few months ago but was exiled when Beyoncé blew away the competition. Swift’s return to the top only illustrates the staying power of 1D, who have rarely been out of the top 3 in that entire time. As each new big summer tour is announced, they’ve seen a lot of number ones come and go, but consistently remained a favorite.

At #3, Pink steadily gained ground over the past few weeks. Once milling about in the bottom five, she has, indeed, come up, thus the top five is obligated to commence partying. She’ll be taking The Truth About Love Tour overseas for most of the summer, hitting Europe and Australia before returning to the States next fall. Sad she’s leaving just as the party is getting started.

Also on the rebound, the esteemed Mr. Bieber returns to somewhat familiar territory, having spent a few weeks in the bottom five. Maroon 5 also jumps up a notch, rounding things out this week.

Rihanna enjoys a big jump as well. Looks like everyone is doing great this week. Right? Bruno? Oh…

The Heat pop in with some bad news about that whole ‘streak’ thing, and George Strait returns as well. You’ve got almost exactly 1 month at this point to get into the Alamodome and check out the last concert of this leg of The Cowboys Rides Away Tour. Appearances between then and 2014 may be scarce.

10 5 Rihanna

My prediction that George Strait would hang onto the countdown based on volume from last weekend proved correct. I’m not sure what I win, but when I find out, I’m sure I’ll tell me. George just missed the top three, where members of the old clique are teaming up once more. There’s little loyalty in the rough-and-tumble world of the top three on the TicketCity Week in Search. After weeks of being in the ballpark, Bruno Mars makes to the top. Taylor Swift, no stranger to the rebound, lands in the second spot, and 1D hangs out at #3 like it’s no big deal.

Pink, who’d been forced out by the brief conference tourney frenzy, returns strong, closing out the top five. While interest in basketball hardly vanished, it’s just so widely distributed that it’s not going to crack the top 10 until things get closer to the Final Four.

Maroon 5 pops back in to lead off the bottom five. They are followed by Clapton, whose local gig probably played a part in his countdown debut. Clapton is touring with The Wallflowers through April before heading back across the Pond for some gigs in the homeland.

Finally, the Austin Rodeo make this year’s countdown debut, just in time for Gary Allan to close things out this weekend. Allan’s visiting the Austin Rodeo while on tour in support of his latest album, Set You Free.

10 10 Pink

A little “local flavor” tops the list this week. With George Strait swinging his last tour through the Houston Rodeo next week, it’s not surprising to see him shoot to the top of the list. He’s probably why the Rodeo gained a spot this week too. Not doubt a lot of central Texas will want to be there at Reliant Stadium for this one. Texans who can’t make it to the Rodeo will have another chance when Strait closes down the first leg of the tour at the Alamodome in June, with Martina McBride and Miranda Lambert.

That’s only the first leg, though. Leg two of The Cowboy Rides Away tour starts up again in 2014. Apparently it is a very long ride.

George’s lightning capture of the top spot threw the rest of the countdown into complete disarray. Bruno Mars takes advantage of the chaos, slipping into the #2 spot, while 1D weathers the storm with only a minor ding. The heat from Beyoncé has cooled a bit; she lands at #5 this week. It would have been tough to sustain those kind of numbers. She’s still on the field, though, more than can be said for her hubby and JT, who made a rather tepid splash last week and have since departed.

Taylor Swift can provide Beyoncé a shoulder to cry on, as she joins the esteemed Mr. Beiber in the bottom five. They are in good company, though, as A-listers Rihanna and Pink hold on for another week, and Maroon 5 returns to the countdown. Their tour with Neon Trees and Owl City (because, I presume, the owls need somewhere to perch) continues through June.

9 7 Luke Bryan
10 - NKOTB

Exact same top 5 two weeks in a row? That is a first. Kind of a catch-22, because after pointing out that it has never happened before, it doesn’t leave me much else to talk about. I had figured the Super Bowl might crack the top 3, but it did not happen. It may still have a shot if fans are looking for last minute tickets this weekend. We can accommodate, as TicketCity will have a crew out there in the Big Easy to attend to such needs.

The WWE shoots into the #5 spot. The build-up to Westlemania is on, so the WWE will likely be popping in and out of the countdown for the next month or so. Maroon 5 drops in at #7, helping add some additional “five” theme to the countdown. They are kicking off the second leg of the Overexposed Tour this month, touring North America through April before heading back to Europe this summer.

Houston replaces San Antonio for this weeks rodeo entry. The Houston Rodeo is arguably the biggest, and attracts the big acts, not just of the country variety either. Toby Keith starts things off and George Strait shuts it down, but in between you’ll have Mary J. Blidge, Demi Lovato, Styx, Bruno Mars and Pitbull among a long list of country luminaries (though not The Lumineers).

Finally, the New Kids on the Block arrive in last place. They are touring with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men. I checked the date on my computer’s clock and it still reads 2013, but there you go.
