Apparently the half-life of the average Fall Out Boy is pretty short. The radioactive frenzy for Fall Out Boy tickets departed faster than a gamma ray through Marie Curie. Beyoncé comfortably endures in her fallout sheltered top spot. The boys from Britain swing back into second place after a rocky couple of weeks, and Taylor Swift moves back into third after a more graceful one point drop.

The San Antonio Rodeo continues to hold onto the top 5, cheating a bit by actually “happening right now.” You’ve got until the weekend to check out the shows. Darius Rucker closes out the entertainment portion of the show on the 23rd. The rodeo finals are on the 24th.

Bieber enjoys a bit of a rebound as well, though smaller and just enough to lead off the bottom five this week. He’s joined by Rihanna, whose Diamonds Tour will open in March. The opening act in the US will be A$AP Rocky, with David Guetta a possible opener for the European leg of the tour. That won’t start up until June, so Rihanna fans state-side will have ample to catch her between now and then.

Bruno Mars clings to the #8 spot after sliding a couple notches, and, with Wrestlemania fast approaching, the WWE returns to the countdown at #9. Considering they’ve already started hyping next year’s Wrestlemania, this one will probably be a great deal. As for next year’s show at the Superdome, I’m sure they’ll exercise the sort of tasteful restraint they’re known for when promoting a show using the Roman numerals for 30.

Beyoncé crushes the competition this week in a win by a very wide margin. She cracked four digits in this week’s total, a rare feat and one that leaves the competition in the dust… at the bottom of a canyon. The rest of the top five put in what, any other week, would have been exemplary performances, starting off with the debut of countdown newcomer Fall Out Boy.

Fall Out Boy is back from a three year break with an upcoming new album, Save Rock and Roll, and tour to promote it. The album won’t drop until April and the tour doesn’t start up until May, but after a three year wait, fans of the alt rock quartet are eager to get tickets for their return. We will see how much staying power they have over the next few weeks.

Rodeos figured out how to coexist on the countdown this week, even if there’s a bit of a gap. San Antonio gains a spot for #3, and Houston just makes it by securing the #10 spot. One could give Houston a break, as Bruno Mars’ show there seems to have driven his appearance in the #6 spot.

Pearl Jam sneaks into the bottom 5 as fans search for some seats to a single show at Wrigley Field. Those who can’t make the Wrigley Field show do have one other option, you just need to get to London. It’s not as bad as you think, though, it’s London, Ontario. There are unconfirmed plans for a far fuller concert tour in the fall of 2013, so your options may open up with a little patience.

Having already spent my Tolkien-analogy capital a couple weeks ago, I’ll spare you the allusions to the Fellowship being broken and just say that Beyoncé shoots right to the top this week. The announcement of the Mrs. Carter Show World Tour met with a great deal of enthusiasm. The tour itself won’t be hitting North American shores until June, but fans are definitely ready to get their tickets early. Mrs. Carter will spend spring in Europe before arriving in the US and Canada this summer, then she heads to South America in the fall.

1D and Ms. Swift are left to pick up the pieces in the second and third spots. Houston and San Antonio once more trade rodeo rankings this week, with a stronger showing for the SA brand. Strange they haven’t figured out that they could both fit on the countdown at once. The Super Bowl’s last minute search surge earned it fifth place. The mid-game power surge is another story entirely.

The Somewhat Less Recent New Kids on The Block have risen from last place to lead off the bottom five. In doing so, this set of “classic” teen idols score a win over a more recent model. The esteemed Mr. Bieber took the shock from Beyoncé hard and ended up at #7 this week.

Has the top three landscape changed for good? Tune in next week to find out the exciting answer to that and other shocking questions, like: Will I mention Pink and if I do, will I spell her name with an exclamation point!?

9 - San Antonio Rodeo
10 - Boston Bruins

The top three returns to normal, as 1D, Bieber, and Swift band together to lay down some “you shall not pass!” to this week’s top three challengers. Those include the The giant, hulking mass of The Big Game. This is a LOTR crowd right? Right?

George Strait’s shooting star falters a bit on the way to the top, falling to #5 this week. Still a strong showing, considering the rest of the countdown. No doubt longtime fans will be keeping his shows packed as this is their last chance to see him on a big tour.

Ed Sheeran climbs a couple spots to usher in the bottom five. His solo dates have heated up ahead of hopping on board Taylor Swift’s Red Tour. Ed is a busy man, between both tours he will be on stage for most of 2013.

Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean provide some additional country flavor to the countdown this week, as do most, if not all, the performers that will be filling the AT&T Center in San Antonio this February. There some OneRepublics and REO Speedwagons to add variety to the proceedings in SA.

Finally the Rangers are out and the Bruins are in for this week’s NHL team. It appears the NY/Boston rivalry has broken out here as well.

10 - Houston Rodeo

Well, ordinarily I’d be wondering why the Knicks came out of nowhere to capture the top spot on the countdown this week, but it was fairly hard to escape the hailstorm of media coverage garnered by one Jeremy Lin. Were it not for Mr. Lin, the countdown would have been concert exclusive.

Madonna and Drake remain stationary in the second and third spots, while Maná returns to the countdown with a new tour. They were quite popular on the countdown during their last tour, but don’t worry, I think I used up all my role-playing terminology puns then.

Down in the bottom five, recent Grammy sweeper Adele appears. Currently no dates are available, but she has stated she’ll be working on a new album soon and so another tour will likely not be far behind. Kevin Hart takes over comedy duties from Daniel Tosh this week, and the Houston Rodeo rounds out the bottom five as the San Antonio Rodeo did for the top five.
