I’ll Have Another…Heat Finals Appearance

I had been looking forward to this post all week. Writing and re-writing this entire piece in my head on how I’ll Have Another was the first horse in decades to win the Triple Crown, and then I heard the news. I’ll Have Another would become the third horse in the sport’s history to drop out of the Belmont after winning the first two legs of the Triple Crown. This was a devastating day in sports to say the least.  But then Game 7 of the Boston Miami series started…

After LeBron’s 45 point performance in Game 6, I didn’t know what to expect in Game 7. Let’s just say I was not let down. With the return of Chris Bosh, the “Trio” was finally re-united and put on a great show for their home crowd. Bosh returned with a solid performance of 19 points and 8 rebounds. Wade and James were at it again showing why they are two of the best in the game, scoring a combined 54 points and taking the TicketCity Play of the Week.

The LeBron to Wade to LeBron alley-oop, as its being referred to, could not have come at a better time. The Celtics had taken a quick lead towards the end of the half and looked to be gaining some momentum. With forty seconds left in the half, The King makes an acrobatic steal and it’s LeBron and Wade on the run. While this has become quite customary during a Miami Heat game, this instance in particular showcases the unmatchable chemistry between these two guys.

After the monstrous two-handed jam by LeBron, the crowd depletes any momentum the Celtics thought they had. The Heat would go into the locker room trailing the Celtics at half time, but would pick up right where they left off and come out with a 101-88 win to advance to the Finals for the second year in a row. The Miami Heat will take on the OKC Thunder in the NBA Finals. Game 1 is on June 12 in Oklahoma City at 8:00 pm.
