The Coachella rumor mill is up and buzzing. The result? Twitter is kinda freaking out.
Hits Daily Double, whose headliner predictions were spot on in 2015 and 2017, has announced their predictions for 2019’s main acts. We’re not saying they’re true, but we’re not saying they’re not not true.
The Coachella Music Festival has grown into one of the biggest outdoor art and music festivals in the United States, blending alternative, indie rock, electronica and hip-hop into its stellar lineups. The festival started back in 1999 when Paul Tollet and Rick Van Santen of Goldenvoice Productions brought together their idea of merging various musical genres. Now taking place over two sold-out weekends, Coachella has become THE destination music festival as each year the lineups continue to get bigger and bigger.
Scheduled for April 12-14 and 19-21 of 2019 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, the festival’s headliners just might be – Childish Gambino. Justin Timberlake and Kanye West. West or “Ye” hasn’t performed at Coachella since 2011, Childish Gambino is overdue as well with 2012 and Timberlake has NEVER performed at the festival. Both Gambino and Timberlake will finish tours in December and January while West is still riding the waves of his new album, Yandhi.
Hits Daily Double accurately predicted Coachella’s headliners in 2015 (Jack White, Drake and AC/DC) and in 2017 (Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar and Radiohead), and although neither Gambino, Timberlake nor West have commented publicly on the report, we think this lineup could be one of the best ever.
The Coachella lineup is typically announced in January shortly after New Years.
Ticket prices increase once the line-up is made public. If you are ready to book, you can find a selection of Coachella wristbands available here.
