5SOS WorldWide Tour Schedule

One Direction has proven over the last few years that the heart of a young, teenage girl is still driven towards boy bands. Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry, and Louis have captivated fans all over the world since the band began in 2010.  They’ve released several best-selling albums and gone on multiple international tours to perform in front of their adoring fans.  And fans continued to clamor for more, evidenced by their planned On The Road Again Tour that will be taking place in 2015.

But One Direction is not the only musical group on the block these days, with the Australian group 5 Seconds of Summer is beginning to draw just as many rave reviews from the teenage population.  Consisting of Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood, and Ashton Irwin, 5 Seconds of Summer had subtle beginnings in 2011.  Like many aspiring artists these days, they collaborated together in creating videos and posting them on YouTube. From there, they began to attract interest from music labels and publishers, and they eventually signed a deal with Sony.

Though categorized by many as a “boy band,” 5SOS has been quick to dismiss that claim, citing the fact that all members play instruments and write their own songs, much more than many of the choreographed-dancing boy bands of the past.

The band worked on their music over the next year or two and eventually caught the eye of none other than One Direction.  It was announced that 5SOS would join One Direction on their worldwide Take Me Home Tour in 2013. The two groups have been inseparable since, with each publicly urging fans to buy music and tickets for the other group.

After a very successful tour, the two groups joined forces once again this past year for One Direction’s Where We Are Tour with 5SOS opening for all UK and United States shows.  The tour was a massive success and led 5 Seconds of Summer to announce their own tour, beginning in late 2014.  The Rock Out With Your Socks Out Tour will begin November 13th with a stop in Phoenix and then two stops in Los Angeles on the 15th and 16th.  They will then visit Canada for two concerts in mid-January before embarking on a five month international tour during May, June, July, August and September.

The most expensive concert for 5SOS tickets is currently August 30th at the PNC Bank Arts Center with an average ticket price of $400 currently on the secondary market.  Other expensive shows are September 2nd at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater ($357) August 28th at the Xfinity Center in Massachusetts ($277) and July 20th at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in California ($246.)

You can find cheaper options for Rock Out With Your Socks Out tour tickets, though every concert has an average ticket price above $100 presently.  The cheapest is at upcoming show at The Forum in California on November 16th with an average price of just $109. For next year’s stops, the cheapest option is at the PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte at an average price of $129.

5SOS clearly has the hearts of the teenage world right now and the Rock Out With Your Sock Out Tour will be a good indicator if they are reaching the levels of their counterparts, One Direction.
