Auburn Tigers 2014 Football Sechedule Breakdown

The defending SEC champion Auburn Tigers started off the season on a good note this past weekend, beating the Arkansas Razorbacks 45-21. Quarterback Nick Marshall was suspended for the first half of the game for a marijuana violation earlier in the year, but it mattered little as backup Jeremy Johnson threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Tigers.

Can Auburn repeat as SEC champions? It will certainly not be easy as the Tigers will have another difficult schedule in 2014. Here’s a preview of their home schedule this season with data on Auburn football tickets for each game.

Auburn Football 2014

Saturday September 6th VS. San Jose State | Median Ticket Price: $30

This Saturday’s game will be the second cheapest game of the season, more expensive only than the season home finale against the Samford Bulldogs. Auburn shouldn’t have too much difficulty against San Jose State so chances are they will move on to 2-0.

Saturday September 27th VS. Louisiana Tech | Median Ticket Price: $40

The Louisiana Tech game will come on the heels of a road game against #20 ranked Kansas State. If the Tigers can defeat the Wildcats, there’s a very good chance they’ll be able to beat Louisiana Tech and face off against Louisiana State University undefeated. Similar to the San Jose State game, LSU tickets are relatively inexpensive for this September 27th game at a median ticket price of just $40.

Saturday October 4th VS. LSU | Median Ticket Price: $167

This is the most expensive game on the schedule for Auburn and will have huge ramifications for the SEC title. LSU, currently ranked 13th in the country, were the only team to beat Auburn last year before they fell to Jameis Winston and the Florida State Seminoles in the national championship. At $167, this is the highest median price for LSU football tickets this year.

Saturday October 25th VS. South Carolina | Median Ticket Price: $122

The South Carolina Gamecocks lost their opening game of the season, falling to Texas A&M 52-28. Though they open the season in a hole, this team is still incredibly talented and will surely make some noise in the stacked SEC this year. Auburn has two weeks to prepare for the Gamecocks as they do not have a game October 18th which may provide the Tigers with a significant boost in trying to defeat Steve Spurrier.

Saturday November 8th VS. Texas A&M | Median Ticket Price: $117

Though they no longer have Johnny Football, the Texas A&M Aggies still have an impressive squad, as evidenced by their domination of South Carolina last Thursday night. New quarterback Kenny Hill threw for over 500 yards, setting a school record previously held by Manziel. At this point in the season, both teams will have endured the majority of their SEC conference play so this could be an incredibly important game… or only a matchup of pride if they can’t survive the SEC gauntlet earlier in the year.

Saturday November 22nd VS. Samford | Median Ticket Price: $28.5

The final home game for Auburn will be against Samford. The Bulldogs fell to TCU this past week 48-14 and shouldn’t be much of a match for the Tigers. If you’re looking for cheap Auburn football tickets, this is the game to pick.
