Biggest Concert of the Summer?

On Saturday, July 7th (7/7/07), Live Earth – The Concert for a Climate in Crisis will take place. This concert is the next in line of the “Live” concerts – the first was Live Aid in 1985 which was followed by Live 8 in 2005. The purpose of the Live Earth concert is to promote action to confront global climate change. The organization that is putting it together is called Save Our Selves (SOS).

The Live Earth concert is scheduled to play shows on all 7 continents. The locations are:
* Shangai, China
* Syndney, Australia
* Johannesburg, South Africa
* London, England
* Brazil (city TBD)
* Japan (city TBD)
* United State (city TBD)
* TBD location

Currently there are 100+ artists who have committed to play Live Earth. But many more artists will be added once the exact shows are scheduled.

Some of the notable performers who are scheduled to play are:
Black Eyed Peas, Bon Jovi, Duran Duran, Enrique Iglesias, Faith Hill w/ Tim McGraw, Foo Fighters, Genesis, John Mayer, Kelly Clarkson, Korn, Lenny Kravitz, Paul McCartney, Pharrell, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg and U2.
