Coors Event Center Not Selling Beer for Buffs Games
The Coors Event Center is the home court of the University of Colorado Buffaloes basketball games. And as recently reported by the Daily Camera, the Coors Event Center will no longer sell beer at CU basketball games. The only groups able to buy beer at Buffs basketball games will be “private groups”.
The move is expected to cost the CU athletic department as much as $80,000 per year in lost revenue. But Colorado is making the move to be more “in line with the rest of the Big 12 Conference schools”. Colorado made a similar decision at Folsom Field for football. In 1996 they banned the sale of beer at Folsom Field, for CU games, except in Suites or Club seating.
