Top Dallas Stars Games of 2014

AmericanAirlinesCenterAs they enter Tuesday night’s home matchup with the Vancouver Canucks, the Dallas Stars sit at 2-1-2, good for 3rd place currently in the Central Division.  Their last three games they have certainly not lacked for goals with a total of 12 pucks getting behind opposing goalies, including Tyler Seguin’s hat trick last week against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Kari Lehtonen has been in net for all five games thus far, looking excellent at times, but inconsistent at others.

The Stars know it will be an uphill battle to win the central division this season with the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues heavily favored and the Colorado Avalanche and Minnesota Wild lurking right behind.  Not helping things has been Nashville’s terrific start as the Predators have opened the season’s first five games with three victories and two overtime losses.  Nonetheless, the Stars have the talent to get to the postseason and make a deep run…but they need to get their first.

Stars fans have come out in droves this season as they’ve sold out both home games thus far this season, including a thrilling season opener against the Blackhawks. On the secondary market, the average price for Dallas Stars tickets is currently $120.  The cheapest game remaining is actually Tuesday’s tilt with Vancouver which has an average ticket price of $69 currently and a get-in price of just $13.

The Blackhawks next and final visit is the most expensive game of the year with an average ticket price of $214.  Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane expect to be the biggest competition for the Central Division title this season, so this could be a hugely important game for both teams.

December 29, 2014 vs. New York Rangers | Average Ticket Price = $211 | Get-in Ticket Price = $38

The defending Eastern Conference champion New York Rangers will visit two days before the New Year.  The get-in price for Stars vs. NY Rangers tickets is only $38 right now so you certainly don’t have to spend a ton of money to see the Rangers’ one visit to Dallas this season.

February 21, 2015 vs. Detroit Red Wings | Average Ticket Price = $204 | Get-in Ticket Price = $38

The Detroit Red Wings are now in the Eastern Conference so they only visit once a year, as opposed to seasons past.  Fans will have to pay top dollar to see the Wings on the ice as the average ticket price is currently $204.

January 20, 2015 vs. Boston Bruins | Average Ticket Price = $196 | Get-in Ticket Price = $34

Tyler Seguin’s former squad visits in late-January for a non-conference matchup.  This game actually has the lowest get-in price of the list at just $34.

March 19, 2015 vs. Pittsburgh Penguins | Average Ticket Price = $192 | Get-in Ticket Price = $38

Sidney Crosby and company will visit the American Airlines Center just two days before the Blackhawks in March for the fifth most in-demand game on the schedule.  The average price for Stars vs. Penguins tickets is $192, 12% cheaper than the Chicago game.
