Five Hottest Spurs Games after Schedule Announcement

The NBA offseason has seen several major trades and acquisitions that will shake up the balance of power among the league’s elite teams. The two biggest moves being made by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The much ballyhooed signing of LeBron James kicked off the offseason and then the Cavs continued making moves, swapping their previous two first overall picks – Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett – for Minnesota Timberwolves all-star Kevin Love. With these two moves, the Cavaliers instantly became one of the favorites for the 2014-15 season, while also severely decreasing the talent on the Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Though it’s undeniable that the Cavs have a boatload of talent on their roster, it will not be a cakewalk taking down last year’s champion San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs have been quiet in the offseason, as they often are, res-signing role players Matt Bonner and Patty Mils.  They also made headlines by naming Becky Hammon as assistant coach.  With the 2014-15 NBA schedule being released, it’s time to take a look at the path the reigning champs will have in defending their title.
