DaveGrohl2014The Foo Fighters return to the road in 2015 in support of their latest album Sonic Highways. It’s been a few years since their last tour, so expect high demand from starved Foo Fighter fans.

The world tour kicks off in southern hemisphere this December, and North American audiences have to be a little extra patient for the band reach our shores. They will do so on the 4th of July, fittingly, in Washington DC’s RFK Stadium, with a big 20th anniversary celebration. (For the band, not the country, the country is way older.) From there they’ll play 27 dates in the US and Canada, including New York, Boston, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.

If you can’t get down to the other side of the globe for the earlier Foo Fighters shows, HBO is showing a “making of” series on the new album, entitled Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways. The premise of the album, and the show, is the bands travels to studios around the country to record the album, working with different producers, studio owners, and musicians. Not sure if that will tide over the most hardcore Foo fans, but it’s all you’ll have until next July. Here’s the show’s trailer:
