2015 International Champions Cup Pulls Europe’s Top Teams
The lineup for the 2015 International Champions Cup was announced and American soccer fans are in for a treat this summer. The lineup includes some of the top teams from 6 European countries, as well as one of Mexico’s top clubs, and a number of the best teams from the MLS. The 2015 International Champions Cup is staged in three different countries, on three separate continents. Outside of the United States, games are scheduled to take place in Beijing and Melbourne. While there will be a number of great games in China and Australia, the real excitement is over the teams coming to the United States. Chelsea, Manchester United, FC Barcelona, Fiorentina, Paris Saint-Germain, Porto, and Club America will all make their way to the United States. Top MLS teams competing in the 2015 International Champions Cup will be the New York Red Bulls, San Jose Earthquakes, and LA Galaxy.

The schedule for games in the United States has yet to be determined, with a list of matchups and locations set to be released on April 28th.
The Australian and Chinese legs of the 2015 International Champions Cup will be contested in mid to late July, leaving fans to believe that there will be a similar time frame for games played in North America.
International Champions Cup History
The International Champions Cup was first contested in 2013, and was founded with the intent of bringing top tier international clubs to the United States.
The 2014 International Champions Cup was contested from late July to early August. Games were played across the United States making stops in Dallas, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Ann Arbor, Chicago, New York City, and a few more. The EPL’s Manchester United won the tournament, defeating fellow English Premier League Liverpool in the final.
