It’s rodeo time in Texas. TicketCity.com ramps up ticket sales as cowboys take over Houston’s Reliant Stadium and Austin’s Expo Center.
Austin, TX (March 2, 2007) – “We’re proud to be part of this very Texas tradition,” says TicketCity.com CEO Randy Cohen, “and we have been for the past seventeen years.”
Since 1990, TicketCity.com has been a ticket broker based and operated in Austin, Texas.
“Whether it’s the bull-riding, the great musical acts or the carnival, there’s something for everyone at the rodeo,” adds Cohen.
Music acts is right. This year the Houston Rodeo boasts huge acts like Sheryl Crow, Gretchen Wilson, Alan Jackson, Beyonce and the returning-to-the-tour super-act, ZZ Top.
“That’s right,” says Cohen, “ZZ Top. They’ll be in Austin at the Backyard on the 14th of April and we have tickets for that, too.”
If you’re looking for good shows before ZZ Top rocks Austin in April, head just east of town next week for the Austin Rodeo. This year American Idol’s Taylor Hicks, Josh Turner, Miranda Lambert, Foreigner and Kenny Rogers are slated.
The Austin Rodeo takes place at the Travis County Expo Center near Decker Lake in East Austin. The rodeo goes from Sunday March 11th through Saturday March 24th and includes a livestock show and a chuck wagon cook-off.
The Houston rodeo is in-town at Reliant Stadium from Tuesday March 6th through Sunday March 18th. With attendance approaching nearly two million visitors each year, this is the world’s largest livestock exhibition as well as the world’s largest rodeo event, accomplished with the hands of sixteen thousand volunteers.
