Manchester United 2015 ICC Roster Released

The International Champions Cup keeps getting bigger and bigger every year, and one of the biggest draws for American soccer fans is the ability to see Manchester United in person. The iconic English Premier League team seldomly makes its way to this side of the Atlantic, and when they do, large crowds tend to follow them.

Manchester United is scheduled to play 4 games in North America as part of the 2015 International Champions Cup and have brought a star studded roster with them to take on some of the world’s top teams. Notable inclusions are top goal scorers, and international superstars, Wayne Rooney, and Robin Van Persie. The inclusion of Van Persie comes as a surprise, as rumors fly about his departure from Manchester United. A full list of the Red Devils roster can be seen below.

De Gea, Sam Johnstone, Anders Lindegaard, Victor Valdes.

Tyler Blackett, Jonny Evans, Reece James, Phil Jones, Paddy McNair, Rafael, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Chris Smalling, Antonio Valencia, Guillermo Varela.

Manchester United left room for more younger players to be added before they make the trip over to the United States next week. It is likely that many of these young players will see plenty of playing time, as the club tends to evaluate future talent in non premier league or champions league games.
