World Series Champions

Full List of World Series Champions since 1903. Every team, opponent & series record for the past 100 years.

Many of the greatest champions in the history of sports have played in the World Series. For professional baseball, the World Series is the marquee spectacle in the sport and each year decides the Major League Baseball champions. The game features the American League’s pennant winner taking on the National League’s champ in a best of seven game series to decide which team will take home the Commissioner’s Trophy, which is awarded to the winning World Series team. The first modern World Series was played over 100 years ago in 1903, when the Boston Red Sox defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates. Since that first World Series, thousands of players and millions of fans have taken part in this classic baseball event.

Congrats to Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies who are playing in the 2022 World Series. It should be a fun one with Space City versus the City of Brotherly Love. The Atlanta Braves won the 2021 World Series over the Houston Astros. The Braves overcame a losing record at the All-Star Break to beat the odds and bring the trophy home to Atlanta. Fans who want to #BeThereLive at the Fall Classic can purchase World Series tickets now for all games. If you purchase a game that does not occur (e.g.- Game 7 when a series is clinched in 6 games) then you will receive a full refund automatically. Baseball fans can also purchase MLB regular season games next season including Opening Day and the hugely popular MLB All-Star Game.

There are two dozen MLB’s that have won a World Series, with the full list of World Series champions below. Which team will be added to the list of championship this next season? Does your favorite team have a good chance to win the World Series?
