NBA Ticket Delivery Types

Purchasing physical ticket is slowly being phased out and replaced with various forms of electronic tickets. The primary ticket stock types being used by NBA these days include: mobile delivery tickets (aka: digital tickets), which include QR codes and flash seats which are saved to a mobile device.

Electronic tickets are provided by an email link that enables you to download and print the tickets from your home or office. This download is usually in a .pdf format and must be printed on paper to guarantee admittance to the event.

Many NBA venue still accept print at home tickets, however some are fast moving toward mobile tickets (aka: digital ticketing). These are similar to electronic tickets in that you will receive a .pdf (or QR code), but now the ticket file should be saved on your phone. The gate will scan that image file right off your smart phone to gain entry into the game. Often times to get a QR code image, you will be required to download and register on a venue’s website or app. Once you set up an account on their venue (or team’s) platform, then the tickets will be sent to you.

Flash seats are similar to QR codes, but an account must be set up at flashseats.com (Tip: be sure to check your spam for the link during activation of the account). An account is created by using any card with a magnetic strip (i.e., drivers license, Gov’t issued card or credit card). The card that the flash seats info has been downloaded to can be used for entry to the event.
