Penn State Football a Hot Ticket in 2007

Penn State Nittany Lion football tickets are traditionally one of the hottest selling tickets in college football. The demand over the years has continued to increase, and so has the size of their home stadium. Penn State’s Beaver Stadium now seats over 107,000 people for home football games. On football Saturday’s the stadium in Happy Valley, Pennsylvania becomes one of the largest cities in the state.

But demand for tickets to 2007 Penn State games is definitely at an all-time high. We’ve had hundreds of searches a day for Penn State tickets and seen a steady pick up in sales since June 1st. And there was an article in the Philladelphia Inquirer today that said student tickets to PSU home games sold out via Ticketmaster in 59 minutes.

What are the reasons for such high ticket demand for Penn State in 2007?
1) Joe Pa
The rumors have been swirling for years that Penn State’s legendary football coach, Joe Paterno, would retire. The noise around those rumors have gotten louder this year. Leading many people to speculate this will be Joe Pa’s last season on the sideline in Happy Valley.

2) A strong home schedule.
Penn State plays Notre Dame, Iowa and Wisconsin at home. And that’s all in the first 5 weeks of the season. The Buckeyes of Ohio State and Purdue Boilermakers visit Beaver Stadium later. The games against Notre Dame and Ohio State are two of the biggest in college football’s 2007 season. So fans want to get out and see them.

If you need Penn State football tickets, you should buy them soon. The prices on those hot games are only going up. And the really good deals (low prices) on the other games won’t last long.
