Classic East and West Festival’s headlined by The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac

Last year, Paul Tollett brought us Desert Trip, a wildly successful festival, nicknamed “Oldchella” that grossed over $160 Million. Sadly, he announced this was a unique festival that will not occur annually.

But have no fear, a similarly lucrative event is looming. The Eagles will join Fleetwood Mac to headline two festivals, The Classic West and The Classic East.classic-twitter_720

“The scale and success of Desert Trip opened the music industry’s eyes to the possibilities of adapting the festival model for an older, more focused audience. Desert Trip, whose lineup also included Roger Waters, Bob Dylan and Neil Young, sold $160 million in tickets.” (New York Times). These two weekends provide an older demographic the opportunity to experience a festival, in an urban setting with seating and easy-access.

The Classic West concert will occur at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles July 15-16. Classic West will feature the Eagles, Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers on Saturday July 15 and Fleetwood Mac, Journey and Earth, Wind & Fire on Sunday July 16.

The Classic East will occur July 29-30 at New York Met’s Citi Field. The Classic East will feature the Eagles, Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers on Saturday July 29 and Fleetwood Mac, Journey and Earth, Wind & Fire on Sunday July 30.
