Who plays in the 2010 BCS Championship Game?

It’s not even one month into the 2009 college football season yet, but fans are already starting to size up whether their team has what it takes to make it to Pasadena.  The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California is hosting the 2010 BCS Championship Game on January 7th.  This college football National Championship Game will match the top two teams in the BCS Poll for a shot at the crystal ball (Coaches National Championship trophy presented by Dr. Pepper).

So who’s got a really good shot to play in the BCS Championship Game (in no particular order):
* Florida Gators
* Texas Longhorns
* Alabama Crimson Tide
* LSU Tigers

Teams that have a chance, but need some good things to happen (no particular order):
* USC Trojans
* Oklahoma Sooners
* Virginia Tech Hokies
* Iowa Hawkeyes

Who are the dark horse teams to play in the 2010 BCS Championship Game (in no particular order):
* Boise State Broncos
* TCU Horned Frogs
* Houston Cougars
* Cincinnati Bearcats
* Oregon Ducks
* Ohio State Buckeyes
* Oklahoma State Cowboys
There is too much football that still needs to be played to really know who will be in the Championship Game.  But it’s safe bet that one or both of the teams will come from the groups above.  Someone new could sneak into the picture, but it’s hard to surpass so many established teams – unless they all start losing.  Right now the best team in the SEC (Florida, Alabama, or LSU will play each other) and the Texas Longhorns are sitting in the driver’s seat, but it’s a long season.
