September 30, 2024Schedule Maker for Texas A&M Deserves a Raise
Trev Alberts needs a raise…or maybe it’s someone on his staff at Texas A&M, but someone in College Station deserves to be making more money soon. That is because Texas A&M is offering an amazing home schedule for Texas A&M fans. First, in football where the Aggies 2024 home schedule is easily the best in the history of the program. Now that Texas A&M has released its Men’s Basketball schedule for 2024-2025 it is very obvious that someone in-charge is doing great work on behalf of Texas A&M fans. Because the Aggies Men’s Basketball home schedule is equally amazing.
First, talking A&M home football games this season. The Aggies have (or had) home games with Notre Dame, Missouri, LSU and Texas. In most years, the game against the Fighting Irish or Longhorns would be THE marquee game but A&M hosts both of them this season. That is on top of bringing in a top 10 Mizzou football team and the Tigers from Baton Rouge. To say Aggies fans are being treated to a special home schedule at Kyle Field is an understatement. The schedule started out with Notre Dame as the opener, which drew a soldout, electric crowd. Mizzou comes in as the next big game, and their strong season has them ranked #9 in the country. They are followed by top 15 team from LSU, who have played some amazing games at Kyle Field in recent years including a 74-72 shootout in 2018. The home schedule finale is Texas A&M vs Texas, a game which is restoring the rivalry between these two schools. That A&M vs Texas game may wind up being the greatest game in the history of Texas college football. That is a ton of great action for Texas A&M fans to take in this season, and their excitement has reflected in the strong demand for tickets.
Next comes the A&M basketball home schedule for ’24-’25. It includes home games against Wake Forest, Texas, Alabama, LSU, OU, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Auburn. The games against Bama, Tennessee and Auburn should bring 3 highly ranked opponents into Reed Arena. The Texas game is at the start of the conference schedule on a Saturday night, and is creating huge buzz from fans who want to be in the building against their rivals from Austin. Then A&M also hosts John Calipari (on a Saturday night) in his first season as Head Coach of the Razorbacks. The storylines around each game are unique and exciting, which is what it takes to get college basketball fans engaged. Oh, and A&M looks to have an amazing team themselves as they are ranked right outside the top 10 in most preseason polls.
All we’re saying is someone at Texas A&M deserves a raise for putting together an amazing home schedule for the big two Men’s sports. Most college fan bases would be fortunate to get a few good games and A&M has lined up a boatload of great ones.
